Ashley’s 30-A Travel Guide

Hey ya’ll! We just got home from our beach trip to Watersound, Florida. We had the most amazing time, and I want to share our trip with you so that you can take this trip with your family as well. I’m going to do this one a little different. Instead of breaking down the trip day by day, I am going to create sections of where to eat, where we stayed, what to do, etc. So without further adieu, here are my recommendations for 30-A .(Florida Panhandle for those not familiar with this area!)

Where we stayed:

We really loved the location of these cottages. We were in the Magnolia by the Seas community right off of 30-A. These are located about a mile from The Hub-30A. This is a great location to grab a quick bite to eat. They also have different activities for children, there are shops, and you can visit the different food trucks! I highly recommend checking out this cool place while you are visiting 30-A.

Back to the house we stayed in…I thought the actual house was really nice! We loved the location, however if I were to go back, I would probably stay somewhere different. Mainly because I want to experience different areas and hopefully have a house down there one day! (dreaming here!) I do think that is the best way to determine where I want to retire to someday. LOL I would recommend this area and this community because the homes were new, it was across the street from the beach, they had a private pool, and it was very private considering how close the cottages were. The developers did an excellent job!

Where we ate:

There are so many great restaurant options off 30-A! I can’t even begin to name them all. I am just going to give you the ones that we have visited, loved, and would go to again on our next visit. First, if you do stay in the area of Watersound, there is a quaint little pizza place that is actually really good. I’m not going to lie…I was skeptical at first. It’s called Bruno’s Pizza. They had a great salad and pizza selection if you need something pretty quick! Of course, as I mentioned above, The Hub has food and is also a great place for a quick bite after a long day on the beach.

A fellow blogger who actually lives in the area recommended we go to Chiringo. I am so glad I listened to her because OMG it’s delicious. The food is super fresh! The grouper tacos were SOOOO good! The views can’t be beat either! This is definitely one to add to your list.

We went to Seaside for our anniversary dinner. I had so many people tell me to go to The Great Southern Cafe, so we did! If you don’t go anywhere else, you have to go here! The Shrimp and Grits and Mojitos are some of the best I’ve ever had. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu though!

The next place that is always one of our firsts stops is The Donut Hole. The have several locations so I would recommend Googling to find the closest one to you. They have THE BEST donuts. OMG. I like to buy a half dozen and eat on them all week! HA!

Here are some of my other favorites!

The Old Florida Fish House has the best seafood and sushi!

Goatfeathers– Fried Pickles, crab cakes, and any of their fresh seafood!

Bud and Alley’s is always a go-to and you can’t beat the views!

I was just thinking about adding a section of what we did, but here’s the thing. We just ate, slept, and went to the beach. We were super lucky this trip and had wonderful weather. I have hit up the outlets on rainy days before though, so that is always an option. However, I think the thing that I like most about going here is that I don’t feel like I have to do ANYTHING! How amazing is it to not have anything to do?!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post on 30-A! If you have anything to add, please feel free to comment below! Also, please share this with anyone who is planning a trip to this area! As always, thank you for reading. 🙂
